Activision and Infinity Ward have carried on the from the past and have kept their new game Call of Duty 4 complete;y region free. It is still unconfirmed whether the PAL release will work on other consoles, but looking at the past it is highly likely that it will.
For those who are not attached to the xbox live gold membership, this game will be ideal as the achievements are all based within the main game – none are given for muliplayer. Hopefully this is the way forward for achievements, having unattainable achievements for non-live players is not a great system – plus it saves you having to spend half of your life playing in your spare time for blood achievement points.

Region free… but totally sold out in HK. They are selling any remaining stock at a Premium too… damn the free market. I heard from different shops that some dude came in and bought all of them at HKD$299 (roughly USD$37) to resell to other regions on eBay.
$299 is the suggested retail price for 360 games in HK but its going for around $399 now. It even went up to $549 last month when it was sold out everywhere.
Hey any idea how much Call of duty 4 ps3 costs in Japan?
probably around the ¥7,000 yen mark. I have not checked though.
